Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Journal Entries, General Ledger maintenance, Purchase Orders, Accruals, Adjustments, and Financial Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Accounts Payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
Manage Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
Prepare and record Journal Entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Maintain the General Ledger by reconciling accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee Purchase Orders, including creation, tracking, and reconciliation with invoices.
Handle accruals and adjustments to accurately reflect financial transactions and obligations.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data for decision-making.
Participate in the year-end audit process and provide support as needed.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification preferred.
Proven experience (3 years) in accounting roles, with a focus on AP, AR, Journal Entries, General Ledger, Purchase Orders, Accruals, Adjustments, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in Energy is a plus.
