About the Role:

As the Accountant, you’ll be an important part of the finance team, supporting efforts to ensure financial stability and growth. Here’s a quick look at what this role offers:

• Growth Opportunity: This is the second Accountant role in the department, creating room for professional development and advancement.
• Hands-On Training: Receive valuable training from the Senior Accountant to help you succeed in your role.
• Direct Reporting: You’ll work closely with the CFO, gaining insight into high-level decision-making.
• Hybrid Work Environment: Enjoy the flexibility of working from home on Fridays while contributing in person at the Newington office.

Responsibilities of the Accountant:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and statements.
• Generate timely financial reports to support organizational decisions.
• Assist in budget development and management.
• Prepare tax submissions and stay informed on tax law changes.
• Collaborate with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• The Accountant will perform financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications for the Accountant:

• Previous accounting experience preferred; bookkeeping experience with a desire to advance is welcome.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
