We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the Legal industry, where you will get the chance to shape and drive our organization's financial success. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal control systems.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports and statements to senior management, board members, and stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain QuickBooks accounting system to ensure accurate financial data.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, financial modeling, and decision making.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
- Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.
- Mentor and develop a team of junior finance professionals, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
- Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
- Review all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the Legal industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on approach and lead by example attitude.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory.
- Able to work in a multicultural team and to foster teamwork.
