About the Job
Pay: $38-40/hr
Location: Role will be REMOTE and part time - around Will work 3 full days per week OR 4-5 hours a day / 5 days a week and potentially flex to full time
Duration: throught the end of January initially but is highly likely to extend with the potential of going permanent
Job Summary
Research, problem solve, prepare and reconcile different kinds of financial adjustments to help keep the accuracy and integrity of the Stock Ledger. Create several reports to help understand the impact of the adjustments performed and enable downstream decision making.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and reconcile several types of Financial adjustments to help keep the integrity of Stock Ledger
• Prepare timely adjustments to enable better Planning, Forecasting and Reporting of the Inventory valuation
• Ensure all SOX compliant adjustment are ready for quarterly audits
• Participates in the management initiative to institute better controls and better organization
• Review Control File Error reports/transaction "kicks” daily and make adjustment if necessary
• Research, problem solve and provide customer service for any queries coming from other depts including Financial Control
• Prepare monthly DC Over/Short statistics report to understand shrink trends
• Build and maintain partnership across several depts
• Review adjustments performed by other associates
• Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency
• Support management decision making by performing ad-hoc analysis and reporting as and when needed
Job Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent job experience
Minimum job skills required to perform this job:
• Intermediary Accounting knowledge
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Strong Computer skills including Excel. Ability to learn new software
• Accuracy and detail oriented
• Strong Decision-Making skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to build relationships/strong interpersonal skills
• Multitasking
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment and prioritize effectively
• Able to work independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity
