We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is ideally suited to a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who has a strong understanding of the financial needs and challenges of a manufacturing company. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, with a focus on bookkeeping, forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and managing financial statements. You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Develop, implement, and maintain systems for cost accounting, inventory management, and financial forecasting.
Review and analyze financial results, monitor variances, identify trends, and recommend actions to management.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax filings and reporting.
Use Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
Interact with various departments and team members to ensure all financial and accounting duties are fulfilled.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, forecasting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and managing financial statements.
Solid experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
Excellent understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
