Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Tax Reconciliation: Prepare and review payroll tax returns, including 941s, and oversee W-2 filings.
- System Maintenance: Keep tax rates current and manage payroll jurisdiction maintenance, including creating and closing accounts.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate payroll entries for the general ledger, complete reconciliations, and assist in creating financial and tax reports.
- Employee Training: Train timekeepers on the time and attendance system.
- Support & Compliance: Aid in workers' compensation audits, ensure system upgrades are tested, and assist with payroll processing as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in payroll and tax reconciliation, preferably in a healthcare and multi-state setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Workday preferred. Ability to work independently with high accuracy in fast-paced environments.
