Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix and standard operating procedure.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Exercise sound data stewardship - following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies.
• Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows.
• Other ad hoc requests as necessary.

• Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.
• Working knowledge of ERPs required, specific experience with Oracle R12 preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)
• Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
• Excellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role.
• Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skills
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
