Job Title: Accountant III
Location: Austin, TX 78727
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Hybrid: Tuesday-Thursday on site
Duties Key Qualifications:
- Base level general accounting understanding expected
- Revenue recognition 606 knowledge and SAP experience, preferred
- Excellent communication, critical, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to comprehend and document effectively
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain attention to details while still seeing the bigger picture
- Sustain a sense of humor, an inquisitive mind, an eagerness to learn, and a positive attitude
- Ability to partner and successfully navigate projects with cross-functional teams and individuals
- Ability to articulate how your work effects various partners in their downstream processes
Description:
- Drive efficiencies and scalability by streamlining and automating processes
- Understand and assist in documenting and translating processes and ownerships of the Team
- Perform risk assessment and process improvement analyses
- Work with and comprehend large data sets and complex Systems at the Company
- Partner with Company team members on various, initiatives, projects, and production work
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and close-related requests by management
- Participate in month-end and quarter-end close: prepare & book journal entries, prepare close deliverables, maintain and reconcile deferred revenue balance sheet accounts, peer review Business partners workbooks
- Ensure all work is in accordance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and SOx
Education:
BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
We’re looking for is someone who understands the accounting and finance areas, but can further comprehend and prepare a document or memo / process flow to articulate the understanding.
