About the Job
The Accounting Assistant will be assigned various duties which include monitoring high volume email accounts for requests from closing offices and communicate frequently using Microsoft Teams, audit loan fundings and all disbursements made from escrow bank accounts, review and authorize outgoing wire transfers and audit wire instruction verifications, review and allocate incoming payments including wire transfers, check deposits, credit card deposits and ACH transfers, and make adjustments to issued escrow account checks such as correcting payees or placing stop payments.
Qualifications:Ideal candidates will be hard working, detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills coupled with a strong work ethic. Experience working with title companies or in the mortgage industry is a plus, but we are willing to hire the right person at entry-level.
Associates degree or higher
Detailed oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and to adhere to departmental procedures
Demonstrate strong customer service abilities
Able to work Monday thru Friday
Pay commensurate with experience and skill level
