Position Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
You will be responsible for month-end closing procedures, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports. Additionally, you will assist with balance sheet reconciliations as required.
Compensation:

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Review and analyze data relating to prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, job costing and revenue recognition for contracts.
- Report to the accounting manager on the finances of the organization.
- Establish records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts.
- Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate/ Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience.
- Certified Public Accountant
- 2-5 years’ experience in the accounting field.
- Prefer auditing experience in Big 5.
- Strong knowledge of functions in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge and experience with dual-entry accounting, journal entries and account reconciliation.
