JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures that ensure the financial well-being of our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate-specific accounting, is proficient in QuickBooks Online for processing payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, with a preference for candidates who have at least three years of general and cost accounting experience. The Accountant will also collaborate with our outside accountant for year-end taxes and will be involved in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support the company's strategic plans. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are essential for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE
Assists in preparing budgets and forecasts, and monitors and investigates budget variances.
Participates in the development of and supports the company's strategic plans.
Monitors corporate cash positions on a daily basis and compiles relevant management financial reports that provide dashboard indicators of company cash flow status.
Performs monthly review of financial statements for all entities and assists in preparation of corporate tax returns, coordinating efforts with outside CPA.
Oversees all bank reconciliations and is responsible for setting up, reporting, and closing books.
Books expenses and credits to proper jobs, inputs interest breakdowns, and balances out.
Creates and mails 1098s, provides accounting support for rental properties, and performs ledger corrections and final account statements.
Handles W-2 processing and distribution, employment census, and employment verification.
Manages 401K processing, conducts payroll functions for opening new states for employees, and handles new hire reporting.
Cuts checks and logs expenses to specific jobs, and sends out contractor 1099s.
QUALIFICATIONS
General and Cost Accounting Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in general and cost accounting is preferred.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent work experience is required.
Proficiency in Technology: Candidates should be proficient in modern smart technology, with the ability to use multiple platforms, devices, and smart device applications.
Driver's License and Transportation: A valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
