Accountant, FT Days - El Paso Children's Hospital

Assists with general ledger, month end close, accounts payable and payroll related functions. Must be able to work independently, proficient in detail work, able to work and communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with Managers and Directors, co-workers, and other healthcare personnel.

Skills:

1. Financial analysis capabilities and technical skills.
2. Knowledge of all standard accounting operating procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.
3. Knowledge of accounting systems.
4. Detail oriented with ability to sustain multiple tasks.
5. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
6. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
8. Knowledge of healthcare a plus but not necessary.
9. Time management skills.

Work Experience:
0-3 years accounting experience preferred. Specific experience related to hospital financial accounting preferred but not required.

Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
