Accountant at Veloc Inc

Essential Functions:

• Reconciling bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• General bookkeeping/recordkeeping duties as needed
• Generating financial reports using income and expenditure data
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Preparation and assistance with analyses and presentations.
• Perform other related duties as required by management.
• Take on special projects on an as needed basis.

Skills and Education Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 5-10 years small office accounting management

Skills:

• Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise
• Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate proficiency levels with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Creative problems solver
• Ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information
• Accurate, thorough and detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities
• Superior attendance and timeliness

Education and Training:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
