Our ideal candidate for our Accountant opening will bring 3-4+ years of experience in full cycle accounting including posting and creating journal entry adjustments, AR and AP budgeting, G/L management and reconciliations.

We are in search of a Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic and innovative Accounting/Construction team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your work will have a direct impact on our business and clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our projects, from the initial budget setting through to the final account closeout. You will have the chance to work on a variety of exciting construction projects, collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial success.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accountant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all financial aspects of our construction projects, from initial budgeting through to final account closeout.
2. Preparing and presenting financial reports to management, highlighting any significant issues or trends.
3. Managing the accounts receivable (A/R) process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment collection.
4. Maintaining the general ledger, including all necessary entries and adjustments.
5. Conducting year-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is correctly recorded and reported.
6. Collaborating closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure financial success of projects.
7. Monitoring project budgets and costs, identifying any potential risks or opportunities.
8. Assisting with financial forecasting and strategic planning activities.
9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Permanent Construction Accountant role should possess the following:
1. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with year-end close procedures, A/R management, ledger maintenance, and project accounting.
3. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and address issues before they arise.
9. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
10. A professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred but not required.
