We are in search of a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly analytical HYBRID Accountant to join our team in the Entertainment industry. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for finance and engineering, offering a chance to bring financial acumen to complex engineering projects. This role will offer the flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home and in-office as needed. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including managing financial statements, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, analyze, and manage financial statements to ensure accurate representation of the company's financial position.
2. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
3. Maintain the general ledger, reconciling entries, and spotting any discrepancies or irregularities.
4. Conduct regular financial audits, identifying and rectifying any errors or inconsistencies.
5. Use JD Edwards, Oracle, and advanced Excel to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.
6. Collaborate with other departments, providing financial insights and advice to support decision-making.
7. Ensure all financial operations comply with legal regulations and company policies.
8. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
9. Use accounting principles and knowledge of internal controls to provide advisory services to management.
10. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting REQUIRED
2. A minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficiency in financial software, including JD Edwards and Oracle.
4. Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas.
5. Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
6. Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Ability to handle large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
8. Proven experience with financial analysis and forecasting.
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
10. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
