About the Job

We are looking for a skilled accounts specialist with a go-getter mentality to be responsible for processing invoices, and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate and efficient manner. An account specialist at Captain Jay’s provides client support for new and current vendors and gets to the bottom of any issues with them. As an account specialist, your responsibilities may include calling vendors, handling invoices, preparing and approving documents, scheduling service appointments, and handling customer complaints or concerns.

Job Type:

Full-time.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data.
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues.

Skills:

Accuracy and attention to detail.
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
Data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
Experience as accounts payable clerk (or accounts receivable clerk).
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
