American Heritage Credit Union, a $4.8+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for an Account Services Representative II. This position handles many different aspects of member accounts; answers member questions, and maintains member account records.
To provide an ultimate level of service to the employees of American Heritage Credit Union. This service will be delivered via actions, accountability and with integrity. This position handles different aspects of member accounts; answers member questions, and maintains member account records. This position handles specialized and escalated processes including IRA administration, escheatment and responses to legal requests and provides training and support for the department staff.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, emails and HelpDesk tickets from employees and/or members.
- Conduct quality control audit of IRA accounts including rollovers, transfers, deposits, and term certificates. Responsible for opening of beneficiary IRA's. Correcting all errors relating to IRA accounts.
- Assist members/co-workers with questions regarding all products and services within the Credit Union including, but not limited to, Membership accounts, IRA's, CD's, and Fiduciary accounts.
- Provide training to Account Services Representative I.
- Maintain contact with branches/departments to resolve account corrections noted during the quality control process.
- Assist members/coworkers with questions regarding all products and services within the credit union including, but not limited to, IRA's, CD's, Decedent Accounts, and Fiduciary Accounts.
- Complete all date of death figures for the State and attorneys.
- Process PA Department of Treasury, SSA, and NTIS Decedent files according to department procedures.
- Review of trust, estate, and POA documentation; perform quality control of these accounts and ensure documents are scanned immediately and properly. Confer with legal counsel, if applicable.
- Process, maintain and monitor all court order, writ and levy requests.
- Process insured share account claims via CUNA's online claims portal.
- Review all court restricted account requests. Confer with legal counsel, if applicable.
- Review and advise employees and members regarding decedent account processing.
- Perform annual IRA required minimum distribution (RMD) review. Manage and resolve member RMD correspondence as requests are received.
- Review and complete all reports for account accuracy and proper documentation on a daily basis (IRA Reports, etc.)
- Assist management with departmental quarterly SOP procedure review; submits corrections and recommendations as deemed fit.
- Assist management with project or new process implementations.
- Complete all inheritance Tax filings in accordance with state requirement.
- Complete escheatment process of all member accounts per State regulations and send appropriate documentation to the membership.
- Assist management with audit of Data Contribution according to department procedures.
- Review, Process and complete annual CP-2100.
- Serve as a backup and assist with adding debits and credits using adding machine or calculator, to ensure correct computation/balances.
- Serve as a backup to and support for all Account Services Representative I job duties.
- Remain current and knowledgeable of all aspects of local, state and federal regulations that affect the credit union.
- Remain active in the University Program of American Heritage Credit Union and complete the position's present curriculum as outlined in the Online University by completing the following Credit Union annual required compliance training, the Online University required coursework within assigned timeline, and the supplemental courses listed in the Online University Curriculum within the prescribed timeline.
- Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained in conjunction with our clean desk policy.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least two years of experience in a credit union or other financial institution.
- Work requires knowledge of IRA's, BSA, fraud, loss prevention, decedent accounts and additional software for Xpress Accounts, etc.
- Requires judgment to solve day today problems but usually within established guidelines.
- Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)
EDUCATION:
- Four-year high school education.
