Account Payable Associate - Accounting (Days) - Tanner Health System

About the Job
Under the supervision of the Director, the Accounts Payable Associate processes weekly vendor payments, weekly refunds, monthly AP close, manual checks and auditing expense reports. Individual associates also have additional duties for scheduling various department functions, testing of system upgrades, journal entries and dispersing various department reports. The Accounts Payable Associate is also responsible for processing electronic payments to vendors and establishing and maintaining good vendor relationships, auditing and scanning expense reports and blanket vendor payments. The Accounts Payable Associate must ensure that all payments released are appropriate according to the policies of Tanner Health System and all outside governing agencies.
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications
*NONE REQUIRED
Qualifications
*Maintain a pleasant professional demeanor when dealing with all customers.
*One year of additional education relevant to accounting preferred.
*Proficient on personal computers and calculators.
*Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
*Proven ability to make independent decisions, displaying emotional maturity and using sound judgment.
*Proven ability to work under tight time constraints while maintaining accuracy and to work effectively in high stress situations.
*Proven ability to work with detailed information and errors that are not easily detected.
*Working knowledge of Excel.
