A manufacturing company specializing in electrical equipment and components is looking for an Account Manager for a direct-hire opportunity. The company prefers candidates with a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Sales Activities: This role will involve pursuing new business opportunities and growing sales with both new and existing customers. This includes building and maintaining relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and presenting solutions that align with their application. The Account Manager will work with management and engineering teams, present corporate and technical presentations, understand customer requirements, recommend solutions, and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Marketing Activities: The Account Manager will stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends, conducting market research and investigating competitor strategies to identify new applications and business opportunities. This will include attending industry conferences and trade shows.
- Account Management Activities: The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring that customer needs are met. Additional responsibilities include: maintaining accurate customer and program information in the company's CRM (customer relationship management) system; developing and managing sales forecasts for assigned customers; monitoring inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and ensure on-time delivery; resolving past-due accounts; and arranging and hosting customer visits.
Requirements:
- A four-year degree (an Electrical Engineering degree or related technical degree is preferred).
- Strong sales and technical aptitude.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills (both internal and external).
- Clear and persuasive communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate the benefits of the company's products.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Balanced persistence and patience.
- A willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive business-to-business (B2B) sales experience
- A valid passport
