Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year
Job Type: Direct Hire
Travel: Approximately 25% (domestic and North America)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Account Manager with a strong background in electrical engineering to support the expansion of sales and development of customer relationships. This role is responsible for identifying motor solutions that meet customer needs, conducting market research, and managing client accounts to drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Activities:
- Pursue new business opportunities with both existing and new clients as per company strategy.
- Build and sustain relationships with customer Purchasing and Engineering teams via frequent communication (meetings, calls, emails).
- Collaborate with Management and Engineering teams to ensure product success and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver corporate and technical presentations after in-depth product training.
- Lead commercial negotiations and handle contract reviews with customer purchasing teams.
Marketing Activities:
- Conduct research on market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies to keep the department updated.
- Represent the company at trade shows and supplier conferences to identify new business opportunities.
Account Management Activities:
- Act as the customer advocate, ensuring coordination across Management, Operations, and Quality teams to meet customer needs.
- Maintain accurate CRM records on customer program details and manage sales forecasts.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely delivery, addressing overdue accounts diplomatically.
- Host customer visits to company facilities as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Sales and Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated experience in both sales and technical areas, with an ability to understand and explain product benefits.
- Customer Service: Strong skills in translating customer needs into actionable solutions.
- Negotiation and Communication: Effective negotiation skills and clear communication abilities for presentations and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to develop networks with diverse teams and clients.
- Adaptability and Learning: Willingness to continuously learn and share new knowledge with the team.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and must hold a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience: Prior B2B sales experience within the automotive industry is a plus.
- Travel and Documentation: Must possess a valid passport and driver’s license.
