Logan Lumber is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Account Manager to join our team. This role is based in-market in the Tampa, Florida area and focuses on developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key accounts. The successful candidate will utilize in-depth product knowledge, strategic sales approaches, and outstanding communication skills to drive growth and foster customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities: The candidate must:
Build and maintain close relationships with key accounts and purchasing personnel, fostering trust and long-term partnerships
Conduct face-to-face visits and sales calls to educate customers on products and support their growth
Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and existing customers through phone, email, and in-person meetings
Prepare and communicate price adjustments for program customers based on market conditions
Provide expert product knowledge and address customer inquiries to deliver exceptional service
Introduce new products in collaboration with the New Products Review Committee and General Manager
Act as Product Champion for assigned product lines, managing purchasing, inventory, pricing, and claims
Participate in trade shows, conventions, industry events, and mill trips to promote products and strengthen client and supplier relationships
Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer profiles; support team members by backing up inbound sales calls and assisting with customer needs
Interface with internal team and supply partners as necessary to ensure scheduled deadlines and requests are met
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and concerns
Requirements
Requirements: The candidate should:
Have 3 years’ sales and distribution experience, building materials or construction industry experience strongly preferred
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or have comparable work experience
Have a proven track record of B2B sales/account management and the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, close high-level sales, and maintain strong relationships
Possess strong persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to use a consultative approach to close sales
Demonstrate proficiency in cross-selling product lines and the ability to identify and develop new client and market opportunities
Have a strong customer focus and be passionate about building long-term business relationships
Have outstanding multi-tasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to complete difficult assignments independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, organizational, and follow-through skills
Demonstrate general mathematical computational ability and a strong attention to detail
Be available for occasional overnight travel to industry events, client meetings, and mill visits
Have computer proficiency, preferably in Microsoft Office programs and POS systems
