Job Description:
Builds relationships and works closely with Brokers to help drive selling and renewing commercial Small Employer and Individual business for Select Health. Manages account activities and coordinates the re-enrollment of existing groups in addition to the enrollment of new groups. Works closely with the managers and technical support personnel of other departments to facilitate quick and efficient problem resolution.
The following states are currently paused for sourcing new candidates or for new relocation requests from current caregivers: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington
This position is a hybrid position-on site meeting would require in person attendance.
Essential Functions
The SE/Ind Account Manager is generally responsible for the following:
Is the Select Health liaison for approximately 400 or more assigned Brokers/Consultants/Agencies and their Small Employer and Individual clients.
Responsible for the annual renewal of approximately 2,400 Small Employer groups/25,000-30,000 members.
Manages the new and renewal process for assigned Brokers for all Small Employer and Individual products (health, dental, etc.) throughout the year. This includes responsibility for the timely renewal of Small Employer groups. For new and renewing business, acts as liaison between Broker and Underwriting Department to review the information, risks, plan design, competition, and rates to accurately convey information to the decision-makers within the client organization. Maintains an excellent understanding of all dimensions of Select Health in order to accurately relay information. This includes all aspects of the Small Employer and Individual plans including but not limited to Broker Exchange. Presents proposals and negotiates agreements with existing and prospective clients. Exercises exceptional sales and negotiating skills, both with Brokers and clients. Works with brokers to meet customer needs for information and problem resolution. Serves as a sales and technical information resource to brokers for both the Small Employer and Individual products. Understands and effectively communicates information to clients and brokers. Identifies problems and solutions to management related to benefit designs, provider relations, financial / billing, enrollment, compliance, and other employer concerns. Works closely with Marketing to communicate latest market trends. Conveys relevant market information and works with them on any updates to plans and products to ensure Select Health’s competitive edge. Prepares and conducts formal presentations to explain comprehensive medical and dental benefits to small employer groups. Travels extensively and spends significant time at employer and broker locations to educate and provide superior service to client groups, strengthen relationships, and heighten the visibility of Select Health. Creates customer satisfaction and loyalty through the judicious and skilled application of Sales Competencies in all interactions with external and internal customers and collaborators.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

Four years of experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or communications,
- and -
Five years of sales or health care industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
CO, Utah or Idaho Resident Producer License for Accident and Health. If incumbent does not have license, they must acquire licensure within six months of employment to remain in the job. Individuals without the license will be paid below the entry rate of the position until the license is obtained.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).

Strong working knowledge of health insurance.

Ability to sell and manage the sales process.

Ability to handle duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision; display professionalism in judgment and decision-making.

Most work is done independently and may be done at the employer's place of business.
Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
