The Role:
As an Account Manager with 2-4 years of experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of projects while contributing to the strategic direction of the account as needed. Your role will involve leading projects from start to finish, fostering strong relationships with clients and internal teams, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from conception to completion, fostering relationships with clients and agency team members.
- Deliver operational excellence by managing daily account activities with precision.
- Gain and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the client's business, industry, and competitive landscape through research and staying informed.
- Ensure comprehensive conference reports and meeting notes are shared with clients and agency partners as appropriate.
- Initiate and draft project scopes, collaborating with creative, media, production, and account supervisors/directors to refine and obtain client feedback and approval.
- Initiate and run projects within the agency, following standard project protocols (briefings, team establishment, internal reviews, presentation prep).
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of project deliverables, ensuring they are client, production, and traffic-ready (including proofreading for accuracy).
- Manage the financial aspects of the account, including preparation of billing, projections, and tracking.
- Participate in key client meetings, including status meetings and presentations of agency work.
- Maintain effective client communications, including daily contact as needed, status meeting management, and managing internal agency relationships and processes.
- Demonstrate confidence and sound judgment in decision-making.
Requirements:
- This role is based in Denver and will be a hybrid in-person and remote work environment.
- 2-4 years of full-time agency experience (or strong client-side marketing account management).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience working on travel & tourism clients is a plus.
- Superior communication skills, both internal and client-facing.
- Strong relationship management, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Creative, Media, Production, and Creative Technology.
- Proactive thinking and foresight as it relates to project management and decision-making.
- Natural curiosity and aptitude for problem-solving.
- Ability to manage up and escalate internal and/or client concerns when necessary.
- Experience managing small-medium scale production projects (print, video, digital).
- Understanding of media, including social and digital.
- Strong interest in understanding and staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.
- Ability to understand the business issues clients face in a variety of industries.
- Identify opportunities for growth with client partners.
