Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Napa Valley
Salary: $80,000-$100,000
General GC in the Napa Valley area, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. We specialize in both commercial and residential projects.
Position Summary: The Account Manager will manage the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accurate accounting records and providing insights into profitability and cash flow management. This role encompasses various financial and administrative functions, including job costing, financial reporting, subcontractor administration, and compliance, while supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Deliverables:
- Job Costing/Profitability Analysis: Track job costs for specific projects, accurately recording labor, materials, and overhead expenses. Prepare profitability analyses to evaluate project performance and provide recommendations for cost control.
- Insurance Management: Manage the companys insurance policies, ensuring coverage is adequate and current. Coordinate with insurance providers to process claims and maintain necessary documentation.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
- Subcontractor Administration: Manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Process subcontractor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- HR Responsibilities: Assist with payroll processing and ensure employee records are up to date. Maintain compliance with HR policies and assist in onboarding new employees as needed.
- Accounts Payable & Vendor Management: Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice approval, payment processing, and vendor relationship management. Maintain an organized vendor database and facilitate communication regarding invoicing and payments.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity. Identify and address cash flow issues proactively.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in developing the annual budget and periodic forecasts, analyzing variances and providing insights for adjustments. Collaborate with management to set financial goals and monitor progress.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and employee records.
- Uphold company policies and compliance with all financial regulations.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and employees.

- Time Management: Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with experience in job costing and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Experience with subcontractor administration and vendor management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace or Google Suite.
