Building Controls & Solutions is a leading value-added Distributor and solution provider of Building Automation control products and systems. We provide products and services to Mechanical, Electrical and Controls Contractors working in the Building Automation markets. We offer a wide array of Building Automation products specializing in HVAC controls, gas detection systems, flow measurement, security and access control, lighting control, wireless, analytics and IoT technologies. We also provide solutions to Plan/Spec or Design Build contractors and integration providers that work closely in the above industries. Customers range from OEMs and Integrators to Contractors and End Users. Our dedicated and experienced staff leverages our relationships with industry leading manufacturers to develop competitive solutions solving building automation and energy management challenges in the commercial building space. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual sales plan and tactics aligned with growing a geographic territory.
- Account management and growth of existing customers.
- Account development of new target acquisition customers through prospecting.
- Thorough technical knowledge of BCS products, services and applications including ability to develop proposals in response to requests for quotation.
- Seek new market opportunities, including bid-spec work, utilizing your industry relationships and bid websites.
- Drive specifications towards BC&S offerings, with assigned consulting engineers.
- Develop presentation materials for decision makers including specifying engineers, design-build contractors, and contractors describing BCS competitive advantages and value proposition.
- Leverage internal Technical Solutions team for design, configuration and professional services.
- Work with Technical Solutions team on customer training and calendar, supporting sales objectives.
- Utilize sales tools effectively (CRM/Hubspot, estimating team) to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunities within accounts.
- Generate a high level of activity to feed the sales pipeline and manage opportunities to successfully move them through the sales cycle to close.
- Attend and present at trade shows.
- Participate in professional organizations to grow the territory.
- Travel, as needed, to support territory.
Qualifications:
- HVAC/Controls/BAS sales experience.
- Software, services, solutions sales experience.
- Sales and business development experience.
- Experience prospecting and maintaining accounts.
- Experience with Building Automation/Mechanical contractors and end user (Commercial) businesses.
