A day in the life as an Account Manager:
As a full-time Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive experience between Innovative and our clients.
Responsibilities include:
Client Lifecycle Management:
- Progressive project management for the timely renewal process concerning quality, deadline, workflow, communication, and carrier coordination.
- Collaborate with Underwriting to ensure the production of Requests for Proposal (RFP), coordination of vendor responses, analysis and comparison of RFP responses, and preparation of a client report with recommendation.
- Facilitate communication, and all other action plans associated with client complain.
Client Implementation: New and Existing Clients
- Set up and coordinate all group benefit administration services (FSA, COBRA, HRA, HSA)
- Oversee and verify that all client company information is correctly entered into the IBP Database.
- Engage in regular client communications to build a strong relationship. Address potential questions, deliverables, projects, and function as the main point of contact for the client's needs.
- Create and manage all client deliverables.
- Adhere to all client workflows to ensure consistent and accurate service delivery.
- Develop and manage the "Annual Service Calendar" for clients.
Client Communications and Technology
- Oversee and/or prepare "New Hire and Open Enrollment Guides" and Client communication technology platforms.
- Organize, schedule, and lead Open Enrollment Meetings. (Live and virtual) Support Implementation and Administration of benefit administrative systems
- All other duties assigned.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of employee benefit programs, employee benefit consulting, and the legal tax and administrative issues pertaining to them as measured by licensing, accreditation, certification, testing and training in each field.
- A proficient knowledge in group benefit programs, such as Medical, Dental, Life, and Disability Insurance.
- The ability to effectively interact and communicate with various insurance carriers and vendors.
- Ability to present services at client and employee meetings.
- A willingness to continually upgrade their knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and desire to advance within the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and particularly Excel.
- A high degree of organization and the ability to prioritize managing multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines.
- Experience delegating and following up on work assignments.
- A sense of urgency and ownership in all you do and the ability to work independently and exercise discretion in client plan strategy and selections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good listener.
- Critical Thinking / Decision making - able to identify problems or opportunities and develop solutions.

About You:
- 3-5 years of experience in the Insurance field,
- Current Life & Health License
- Preferably 1-3 years of experience as an Account Manager
