Role Overview:
The Account Manager – Civil Construction will focus on building strong relationships with contractors, engineers, and project managers within the civil construction industry. You’ll play a key role in driving sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the successful completion of projects such as roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the civil construction market. Build a pipeline of prospects to grow Barton’s client base.
- Client Engagement: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with contractors, engineers, and other key stakeholders. Understand project requirements and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Sales Execution: Meet or exceed sales targets by promoting Barton’s products and services to new and existing clients.
- Industry Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, project developments, and competitive offerings to position Barton as a trusted partner.
- Operational Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues efficiently. Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in account management, outside sales, or business development, preferably within the civil construction or infrastructure industry.
- Familiarity with civil construction processes, materials, and project lifecycles is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and the ability to manage a sales territory effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
