Having forged life-long and high-value partnerships with our clients, we often serve as trustees of their family trusts and as officers and directors of their businesses, private investments, and charitable foundations.
Toplitzky&Co is seeking an Account Manager to serve in a key company role. She/he will have client contact and participate in business discussions with clients, and it is therefore necessary for this person to have strong English language communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Client interaction - Act as the primary finance contact for clients, addressing their needs and maintaining strong relationships.
Handle client’s books and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
Book and process client payroll.
Maintain accurate General Ledger/Trial Balances.
Onboard new clients and set up new vendors and Chart of Accounts in the accounting system (Quickbooks Desktop).
Maintain cash flow and reporting requests for clients.
Provide backup coverage for other Account Managers as needed.
Process Accounts Payable and Cash Receipts.
Coordinate and complete client loan applications.
Provide accurate asset schedules for insurance.
Work closely with the tax department to ensure clean and accurate books.
Ensure that tax deadlines (1099s, estimated payments) are met timely.
Other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Competency in Quickbooks Desktop and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to work well with a team
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma required
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred
4 plus years of experience in accounting, business management, and/or working with high-net-worth individuals
1 plus years of experience working in QuickBooks preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
