Global Human Resources Solutions firm located in Chandler, AZ is currently seeking a BenefitsAccount Manager (with Life & Health license) to oversee and manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and successful implementation of new and renewing accounts. Collaborating with sales and support teams, the Account Manager drives client satisfaction, builds lasting relationships with key personnel, and ensures compliance with group benefits. This role requires in-depth knowledge of group benefits, strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel for client meetings. Professionalism, interpersonal skills, and responsiveness are critical for success.
The Ideal candidate has 3+ years of Account Manager experience within the healthcare industry and is looking to get their foot in the door with a reputable firm.
The position is 5 days in the office and paying up to $80K+ Commission and the company is looking to hire ASAP!
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Implementation and Renewals:
- Manage the implementation process for new and renewing clients, coordinating strategy meetings and documentation with Business and Benefit Sales Consultants.
- Analyze and negotiate benefits and rates for all coverage types, obtaining and delivering carrier renewals.
- Facilitate pre-renewal and renewal meetings, either in person or via virtual platforms.
- Quote open market options as needed and finalize benefit selections with clients.
- Oversee the submission of applications and benefit administration portal updates, ensuring timely completion (at least 15 days prior to the effective date).
- Perform first-bill audits and conduct post-enrollment recap meetings with clients.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts to ensure high customer retention and satisfaction.
- Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours, providing status updates if immediate resolution is not possible.
- Educate clients and employees on benefit offerings and compliance requirements.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure clients meet compliance standards for benefits, contributions, ACA, COBRA, and other regulations.
- Manage Medicare filings and compliance document submissions.
- Service Excellence:
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service for all interactions.
- Ensure prompt, accurate responses and clear communication with clients.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Active Health and Life Insurance License is required.
- Strong integrity, credibility, and discretion in all professional interactions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate or higher) and Adobe software.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Effective multitasking and prioritization to meet deadlines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits, compliance, and payroll.
- Analytical skills to interpret client data, regulations, and technical procedures.
- Problem-solving capabilities to address inquiries and complaints effectively.
