Character of Position
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in managing and growing relationships with key customers in the Aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
- This position requires up to 50% travel.
- Monitor industry trends and developments pertaining to Collins Aerospace and the industry at large by identifying revenue generating opportunities and risks to the corporation.
- Secure industry information and specific customer and competitor data for strategic planning purposes.
- Maintain high level relation and rapport with key customer representatives as well as current knowledge of customer needs and future programs.
- Utilize account management skills to maximize revenue and increase growth.
- Apply technical and sales knowledge in direct support to customers.
- Maintain technical knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within tooling industries.
- Define key account expansion opportunities.
- Develop and execute a plan to grow existing accounts business in the redefined market segments.
- Identify customer needs and technologies that would better position Visioneering to secure additional business opportunities. Identify competitors and their means of differentiation.
- Maintain complete and accurate customer records, to include contact information, tooling requirements, quote history, sourcing history, future program opportunity, etc., utilizing integrated corporate systems, (currently Sales Force, VISUAL Manufacturing and MS Outlook).
- Identify marketing opportunities to assist in developing additional new customers, such as, tradeshow participation or attendance, advertising and direct mail initiatives, customer related events, and website enhancements. (Manage development of marketing materials for each).
- Role will be main point of contact for all commercial matters relating to the Collin's Aerospace.
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure customer needs and requirements are being met.
- Must contribute to corporate quality policy and objectives.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Understanding of Aerospace tooling and fixtures and their applications.
- Demonstrable ability to carry a productive discussion with customer engineering, program management and procurement personnel.
- Solid customer relations and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Sales Force.
- Working knowledge of VISUAL Manufacturing.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Outlook.
- Account management.
- Personal effectiveness/credibility.
- Problem solving skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Clear and consistent communication.
Experience
- 5-10 years working in sales engineering with Aerospace Tooling Manufacturing.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.
