Regional Sales Manager – Industrial Machinery

My client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial products and solutions. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing, developing and overall productivity and effectiveness of a sales team. Responsible for assisting with the strategy and selling process to enhance overall sales capabilities. In this role, you will support the consistent implementation of key initiatives to secure business development opportunities, increase revenue and promote growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a sales team; coach, train and manage performance
- Ensure region’s sales goals/quotas are met and/or exceeded by each Sales Rep
- New Business Development; implement strategic business plans
- Develop sales strategies with team to increase sales revenue
- Oversee the development and performance of the Sales Team
- Drive sales, efficiencies and promote growth within region
- Establish and build client relationships with key decision makers
- Manage sales pipeline for region; forecast and budget
- Prepare reports for management regarding regional sales, business opportunities and recommend improved sales solutions
- Keep well-informed of market, existing industry and growth opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Min. 5-10+ years of B2B Sales experience selling technical products/solutions preferably within Industrial markets
- Min. 5+ years of Sales Management experience within Industrial Machine Manufacturing
- Experience leading a sales team and driving change required
- Experience building relationships with key decision makers
- Documented Sales Success of meeting/exceeding sales goals
- Knowledge/ Understanding of contracts, negotiating sales and executing sales strategies to grow business
- Excellent Analytical, Negotiation & Organizational skills
- Strong Communication & Presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Offering:
- Base Salary $130,000 – $140,000 (based on experience)
- Year 1 @ plan $156,000 – 165,000+
- Expenses for Car and Mileage
