About the Job
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for sales and marketing activities across the Great Lakes Territory, covering Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Western New York, Pennsylvania, Ontario, and Quebec, Canada. The role focuses on maintaining relationships with existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and increasing sales across multiple product lines. The position supports market managers and contributes to achieving sales objectives and organizational goals.
Essential Functions:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company products, capabilities, customer base, competitors, and target markets.
- Travel 3-4 days per week, 2-3 weeks per month, to meet with clients and prospects within the designated territory.
- Communicate with customers and prospects via email, phone, and other methods regarding product offerings, pricing, orders, and credit.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address product specifications, order status, shipment details, and other customer needs.
- Represent the company at trade shows, dealer events, and open houses to promote products and support distributors.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for all product lines.
- Host customer visits and occasionally lead facility tours to educate visitors about the company's processes and offerings.
- Stay informed on market trends, business developments, and industry news through relevant publications.
- Conduct and coordinate product and sales training for customers and their teams.
- Maintain ethical standards and professional conduct in all job-related activities.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Occasional weekend travel and work as needed.
- Recommend solutions and internal controls to improve processes.
- Participate in special projects or Kaizen events as assigned.

- Complete SAP training for sales reporting, order management, and workflow improvement.
- Maintain availability for office-based responsibilities when travel is not required.
