Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive for our business development team. This pivotal role is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing new business opportunities that align with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving and developing business growth, building strategic partnerships and relationships in the media industry. As Account Executive, you will represent our full suite of products and services to existing and potential clients. Products and services include our Sales, Traffic & Billing, Digital, Programmatic, Payments, and Analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in an autonomous environment, is self-motivated, a team player and enjoys collaborating on projects.
Here is what success will look like:
- Partner with management on proposed commercial terms and oversee through to contract negotiation and signing; collaborate with sales leadership to align new business initiatives with the company's overall strategy.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve corporate growth objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
- Maintain a knowledge base of client contacts and workflows including corporate playbooks and documentation for client needs and gap analysis.
- Communicate gap analysis with clients and prioritize issues for product management.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to optimize client satisfaction to ensure contract renewals and referenceability.
- Contribute to the success of WideOrbit products and services by bringing new ideas and participating in efforts to make the team more productive and efficient.
- Provide sales presentations and demonstrations to existing customers and new prospects in a way that is meaningful and relevant.
- Identify and evaluate potential new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
- Report to management on all potential and active accounts and opportunities; track activities and sales pipeline through our CRM, MS Dynamics
- Prepare quotes and liaise with legal for contracts for prospective clients.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities and industry trends.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue goals.
- Participate in “brainstorming” sessions with applicable internal stakeholders to achieve creative client solutions and product strategy and direction.
- Leverage your in-depth network of contacts to introduce high level relationships to WideOrbit.
- Act as a liaison between the company and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in annual budgetary and strategic target summits.
- Participate in cross-company meetings through our services and product divisions to ensure strategies and other departments are aligned and moving together.
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in business development or sales of enterprise-wide broadcast software and/or digital sales/media systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex business challenges.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Ability to perform under pressure, and escalate when needed.
- Linear sales and traffic (Media) application experience required.
- Digital sales and traffic experience is highly desired.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to collaborate with team members in a positive manner by respecting divergent opinions, communicating in a concise and articulate way, and being generally upbeat about WideOrbit and our products.
- Positive entrepreneurial attitude.
Location:
This position can be based in any of our offices. Remote/Telecommute will also be considered.
**While this position is posted as an Account Executive, we are open to considering candidates for a Sales Director role based on their level of experience and past accomplishments. If your background aligns with a more senior-level position, we encourage you to apply and indicate your interest in a Sales Director role. We are committed to finding the right fit for our team and can adjust the role accordingly for the right candidate.
Pay Range:
$95,000 - $150,000 or more (Base + Commission)

The compensation range listed, and general description of other compensation and benefits will apply to this position. Various factors are considered to determine compensation ranges including market data, location, experience, qualifications, and skills. WideOrbit reserves the right to pay more or less than the salary and benefit information posted.
