About the Role
We're looking for a high-energy Startup Account Executive to drive new business within the AI startup ecosystem. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of our growth, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to expand our client base. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to understand and effectively communicate the value of our GPU marketplace to potential clients. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the AI revolution by connecting innovative startups with the computing power they need to bring their ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and manage a robust sales pipeline within the AI startup ecosystem.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with AI startups and scale-ups.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in AI startups.
- Collaborate with our technical teams to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and the AI startup landscape.
- Provide regular forecasts and sales activity reports to management.
- Represent Vast.ai at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
You Are
- A self-starter with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about technology, particularly AI and cloud computing.
- An excellent communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Adept at building and nurturing relationships within the startup ecosystem.
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Excited about experimenting with LLMs in the sales process.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in cloud computing, SaaS, or related technical fields.
- Solid track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Demonstrated success in generating pipeline and closing new business with startups.
- Strong understanding of the AI and cloud computing landscape.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot) and sales automation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Bonus: Previous experience in or strong connections to the AI startup ecosystem.
