MHA Long Term Care Pharmacy

Job Purpose:
The Account Executive, Long Term Care Pharmacy is a results-driven account manager responsible for managing a book of
business. They will be responsible for developing an overall territory strategy to meet the goals of business growth through
conversion of competitive accounts, new business start-ups, and penetration of existing member accounts with solutions and
value-added services. They will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer
relationships within our existing Long Term Care closed door pharmacy accounts while developing new business opportunities
within the assigned territory. The Account Executive will provide comprehensive account management covering classes of
trade which include pharmaceutical, business products, medical supply, pharmacy technology solutions, network offerings,
pharmacy reconciliation, and claim analytics. The Account Executive will be responsible for monitoring sales, providing
exceptional service to the member pharmacies, retaining our members as well as maximizing opportunities for growth.
The Account Executive will use a consultative approach to utilize their industry expertise and business acumen to assist
member pharmacies in running more efficient and profitable operations.
The Account Executive works to manage, create and build a team environment. This team may consist of an Account
Representative, a Network Specialist, and a Business Development Executive and together the team will manage targeted,
specific goals for the overall territory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan and carry out direct sales and account management activities for assigned territory (principally via direct in person
visits and through the utilization of remote meeting technologies) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, and product
mix.
Provide advance notification of new products and price changes that enable members to make timely decisions.
Promote and present MHA technological and network services and offerings.
Develop and leverage relationships with key business partners within the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., wholesalers,
distributors, associations, manufacturers, etc.).
Conduct Business Reviews with members to leverage data and material information available to the member to provide
business insight and growth opportunities assuring that the member is fully utilizing all MHA contracts and service
offerings.
Work in conjunction with the AR, Network Specialist, Director and Vice President of Member Engagement.
Act as a liaison for member with inside resources and business partners to resolve contract eligibility, linkage issues, and
pricing or credit discrepancies.
Develop strategies and create sales opportunities for MHA products and services to long term care providers for
contracts.
Utilize all MHA sales and marketing reports as value added services to enhance opportunities for our pharmacy providers.
Manage and communicate the external sales and marketing activities developed by internal marketing,
commercialization, senior management, and the MHA clinical team.
Conduct in-person meetings with members requiring 60-75% travel.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BS/BA degree with a minimum of 5+ years of outside sales/account management experience.
Experience/knowledge of the pharmaceutical or medial product industry a strong preference.
Proven track record as a successful sales professional
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to manage a territory and coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
Ability to work with integrated computer database systems.
Ability to work and manage a team on regional projects.
