What the day will look like
The Account Executive Practice primarily leads talent development and drives growth across the AE Local Practice. This individual will report to the Resident Managing Director (RMD) and the National Account Executive Practice Leader. Accountable to the RMD to deliver retention and rollover goals for the office as well as new business from the Account Executive (AE) Local Practice. This responsibility may extend beyond direct AE reporting. By driving individual goal achievement, the AE Leader helps the local office and Aon North America, attain aggregate business goals. Always promotes the value Aon delivers to clients, particularly through Client Promise.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $209,000-$298,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in Aon's annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon's discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance. Job Responsibilities:
- Support Account Executive's effective alignment with the Aon Leadership Model.
- Educates Account Executives and Account Specialists directly and by assisting with training plans in client management, risk management, insurer interface and Aon resources, processes and tools.
- The Account Executive Leader (AEL) will help Account Executives marshal appropriate Aon resources to support retention and sales efforts and to assist clients.
- Drives and monitors the implementation of the entire Client Promise cycle. Ensures adherence to Client Promise Methodology, particularly the key elements of the renewal process.
- Teaming with Sales & Marketing, drives Account Executive efforts on new and penetration sales, including collaboration with originators. The AE Leader raises AE awareness of and skills to introduce all of Aon's products, services and specialty expertise.
- The Account Executive Leader will work closely with the Resident Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer to lead critical best practice client management efforts including Strategic Account Review, Fee Discipline and Client Return to Profitability Planning.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Skills and experience that will lead to success - Typically, at least 7-10 years of appropriate insurance experience, coupled with managerial ability. Strong project and account team management experience, and strong negotiation skills.
- In-depth working knowledge of the insurance business and the assigned clients' needs as well as all major lines of business.
- Proficiency in PC office products such as Word, Excel. PowerPoint, and outlook is required.
- Evidence of ability to become proficient in the use of Aon specific software tools.
- Multinational coverage experience.
