Affinity Group is seeking an Account Executive to make their mark in our Tampa, Florida market. This position is responsible to spearhead market growth and showcase our clients' market-leading products through planning, execution, and results. This position will report to the Market Manager.
Who we're looking for:
The right candidate will have a passion for business development and will support sales growth for all assigned clients. Candidates with a background in foodservice brokerage and/or distribution sales will be given top priority. This role primarily involves influencing merchandisers and buyers at the distribution level, in addition to food away from home accounts. Activity also includes prospecting, lead generation and managing the sales pipeline. Creativity and a passion for food are key!

A typical week might include the following:
- Strategy and Execution. You’ll be consistently identifying and implementing event/activity plans for your assigned accounts, building awareness of our client's unique value proposition while presenting features and benefits for the lines we represent to drive inquiry generation. You’ll be using your unique ability to influence high-impact partnerships for your market while diving down to 'street level' to execute the daily work via informational virtual presentations, calls, and emails.
- Partner and Influencer. Through a variety of mediums, you will use your passion for serving others to provide exceptional sales presentations with a consultative approach for distributors, merchandisers, buyers and their sales teams.
- Heart and Hustle. This position will have a local office base with the option to work remotely as needed. Working independently, you will leverage your critical thinking skills to support prospective Affinity Group clients through the selling cycle, CRM system, data integrity, and guiding prospects on the right path towards a successful purchasing experience.
The role might be right for you if you have:
- 3-5 years of foodservice brokerage or foodservice distribution sales experience.
- Restaurant operations or culinary experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Outstanding time management. Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Self-motivation and drive to succeed.
- Effective communication and listening skills.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build strong partner relationships.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule. This role requires daily travel throughout your territory. Some industry events may require overnights during the food trade show season.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
What to expect:
- The typical work week: Monday through Friday
- During the food trade show season, the position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, with the ability to safely lift case goods (up to 50lbs.).
- Travel: Position requires daily motor vehicle travel to assigned locations.
