Overview:
Under the supervision of the Manager of FBC Client Management, this position provides quality and timely service to assigned Full Benefits Consulting (FBC) clients.
This position will require attainment of Life & Health insurance license for each of the states in which they are assigned.
What You'll Do:- In coordination with the Benefits Consultant:
- Provide face to face and virtual customer service to our FBC clients
- Lead strategic planning, annual review, and renewal process
- Be in tune with the benefits marketplace and identify real solutions versus fly-by-night ideas and vendors
- Proactively present these ideas and solutions to the client, implement and track results/ROI on an ongoing basis
- Work with data analytics team to provide data-driven analysis, Springbuk reporting, renewal and self-funded modeling. Ad hoc projects as necessary at client request.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and inform or assist client to keep them in compliance.
- Attend/support employee meetings and open enrollment as outlined in the FBC Service Model or as needed
- Implement and maintain FBC service model
- Attend (and at times, lead) insurance committee meetings, if applicable
- Assist in implementing Benefit Administration Systems or NIS Enroll if applicable
- Provide customer service to all lines of business for FBC groups[1]
- Perform annual Best Practices calls for life and LTD
- Assist Inside Service Rep (ISR) on escalated member claim issues.
- Field policy related questions from group/employees. If needed, follow up with carrier/Consultant/Zywave/AP compliance to answer.
- Renewal Group Set-Up – Support FBC ISR as needed to obtain plan documents, rate info and other items needed to set up group in system.
- Document Creation/Assistance – Support FBC ISR as needed in creation of Benefit Guides, Renewal Summaries, Open Enrollment presentations, and other items groups may request to administer plan and open enrollments.
- Document material client/prospect interactions in CRM
[1] In certain instances, at NIS’ discretion, the servicing of the Life and Disability will continue to be performed by the Account Rep.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the group insurance industry.
- Five years’ experience in a customer service, insurance, or HR environment or any combination of education and/or experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Three years’ experience in servicing group medical insurance plans.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time and accommodation of overnight stays sometimes multiple times per month.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Possess the ability to read and understand insurance contract language.
- Analytical ability is required in order to identify problems, offer proposed solutions and implement the agreed upon solution.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills, and the ability to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of software applications in word processing, spreadsheets and database management.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials.
- Incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Consistent daily attendance and the ability to work overtime occasionally at last minute.
