Position type: Full-time Contract
Duration: 3+ months of contract
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Shift: Monday-Friday. 6 PM - 2:30 AM

Summary:

• The main function of an accessioner is responsible for processing laboratory samples.
• They work with other laboratory employees to catalog patient specimens, like blood, urine, or tissue, for analysis.
• They mostly work with blood.
• Lab professionals carry out diagnosis and treatment based on the samples received.

Essential Duties:

• Work with other laboratory employees to catalog patient specimens, like blood, urine, or tissue, for analysis.
• Receives and triages all specimens for clinical testing
• Manages clinical information within lcls database.
• Performs specimen tracking, packing and shipping duties
• Collaborates with various departments to ensure testing accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

• Data Entry experience
• Experience handling medical samples (urine, blood) people that are comfortable handling specimens.
• Familiar with 10 KEY
• Experience in high paced environment

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Pay Range: $18 - $20 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
