Position Summary
Our client, who is in the government space, is looking for an Accessibility PM to lead the implementation of accessibility initiatives across their organization. In this role, you will assess the current state, develop a plan to achieve compliance, and work with various teams to implement identified solutions. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a strong background in business analysis and/or project management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough discovery phase, including assessing current state and identifying gaps
- Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for identifying and addressing existing and new accessibility initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ADA Section 508, Section 504, and other relevant legislation
- Assess communication intranet, equity, and other internal/external solutions to ensure alignment with accessibility standards
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure contractual commitments to accessibility standards are met
- Address legacy solutions and identify measures to meet accessibility requirements
- Identify intersections and potential conflicts within legislative requirements related to accessibility
- Stay updated on new state legislation and integrate necessary changes into the accessibility plan
- Create and execute a project plan for upgrading accessibility over the next 3-5 years
- Partner with DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), Communication, and other relevant teams to ensure a holistic approach to accessibility
- Communicate effectively with vendors, ensuring they are aware of and comply with accessibility requirements
Minimum Experience
- Based in Colorado
- 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in accessibility initiatives
- Strong background in Business Analysis with the ability to plan and execute projects
- Excellent communication, group facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with external vendors
- Self-reliant and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management skills
- Preferred ExperienceFamiliarity with accessibility standards and legislation (ADA, Section 508, etc.)
- Familiarity with accessibility tools and technologies
- PMP Certification or working towards completion
Salary / Wage Range
$40.00 - $55.00 / Hour
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. The Doyle Group offers a competitive rewards package, which includes a 401k, healthcare coverage and other benefits.
