About the Job
We are seeking a part-time Academic Support Coordinator to join our community. This role involves supporting the learning management system (LMS) and providing academic advising for online students. The position offers flexibility to work onsite or remotely.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist employees and students with institutional acclimatization, training, and program development using the LMS.
Collaborate with the LMS vendor and the Information Technology Services team on LMS maintenance, administration, and accessibility.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to course design, LMS configuration, and infrastructure.
Provide faculty training for LMS-based courses and develop supplementary training materials.
Create instructional materials and products for course redesign, focusing on enhancing an inclusive learning environment.
Design engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
Assist online students with course selection and the registration process.
Provide information and guidance on school resources.
Help students understand their degree, program, and graduation requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience with educational technologies, learning management systems, instructional design and technology, and academic advising or a similar role.
Skills in lesson and curriculum planning.
Proficiency in visual design and storyboarding.
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts.
A genuine desire to help students succeed in their academic journey.
