About the Job
This position oversees the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of education research projects that consists of a set of closely related subprograms or associated activities. Oversees fiscal, operational and administrative management of select programs; seeks and develops outside funding sources, serves as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies on operational matters, and provides day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate to the area of expertise. The project is research, education, and service oriented, and is funded through grant provisions.
Daily Operations
• Oversee effective and efficient daily operations to support program goals and coordinate overall logistics to ensure successful program implementation; serve as primary administrative point of contact and contribute to the overall success of the program through oversight of assigned projects and deliverables
• Assist program investigators with planning, administering, and coordinating of activities and objectives, including organizing all investigator meeting to review progress
• Provide support for overall implementation of the tracking and evaluation plan, including collecting and analyzing program data to assess program effectiveness and drafting progress reports
• Manage multiple programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations
• Manage daily financial expenditures; approves and monitors budget expenditures; maintains fiscal records and oversees daily aspects of budget management, including monitoring available funds balances; develop budgets for grants
• Maintain social media sites and website
• Coordinate travel for program investigators, mentors, instructors, and participants
• Some travel is required
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be Excel and MS Word proficient with financial skills
• Must have a knowledge of grants preparation and management
• Program planning and implementation skills
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures
• Ability to take initiative and work independently is required
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment and prioritize for the timely fulfillment of responsibilities
Required Education and Experience
Master's degree (M.B.A. or M.A.) from an accredited college or university with at least two (2) years of directly related management expertise in fiscal services and administration experience required.
