We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence.
Compensation:
We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The salary range for this position is $53,705.60 to $56,796.48 and is commensurate with experience.
Funding Disclaimer:
This position is granted funded and dependent on the renewal of grant funding each year. If the outside funding is no longer present, the position will be evaluated for renewal dependent upon SOME unrestricted funding at that time.
The ABLE Program at So Others Might Eat (SOME) provides no-barrier, safe programming designed to offer homeless individuals an opportunity to build relationships and access assistance in a supportive environment. The ABLE Program Coordinator plays a vital role in identifying and addressing the needs of individual clients and the broader community by developing and implementing safe, healthy, and educational programming. These efforts aim to foster relationship-building, trust, and a sense of community among participants.
Additionally, the ABLE Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring strong connections and collaboration across programs within the organizational continuum. This includes facilitating seamless transitions for clients between programs, promoting an integrated service delivery model, and enhancing the overall client experience. This position requires a compassionate, proactive individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward stability and self-sufficiency.
Required: High school Diploma and 2-4 years social service experience and experience working with volunteers
Required License/Certification: CPR and First Aid certification
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)
Expected Contributions: Program Operations
- Provide oversight and direction for ABLE Program along with the day to day operations of the program
- Create a positive, affirming and safe environment for all clients accessing ABLE Services
- Design and implement Programing modules to support and meet client needs in the continuum
- Conduct needs assessments that inform programming design and implementation on a regular basis
- Work with peer support to provide case management and care coordination services to participants
- Oversee volunteers supporting the program including providing instruction, support and oversight
- Use trauma informed principals to guide programing decisions, structure and function
- Work collaboratively with other SOME programs to help create a seamless client experience to meet client needs
- Schedule and facilitate ABLE Social, therapeutic, education and skill programing

Reports to: Senior Director, Community Resources
Position Designation: This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing prior to or during your employment with SOME. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Requires looking at a computer screen for several hours a day. May be required to sit or stand for long periods
