What would you do as BEHAVIOR Therapist
As a Part Time ABA Therapist at Behavioral Intervention Psychological Services PC in Hempstead, NY, you'll play a vital role in delivering direct care under the supervision of a Qualified Health Professional (QHP). Your responsibilities will include implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans tailored to each individual's needs. You'll collect essential data on skill acquisition targets and behaviors identified for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). Additionally, you'll complete treatment and service logs, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date. Effective written and verbal communication with your team members is crucial-whether through notes, emails, or phone calls.
You'll also input data into our practice management software, attend monthly clinical meetings for case discussions, and participate in team meetings, fostering collaboration and excellence. To thrive as a Part Time ABA Therapist at Behavioral Intervention Psychological Services PC, you'll need a unique blend of skills and commitment. Availability to work weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as at least one weekend session, is essential since our positions do not accommodate "daytime only" schedules. You should be ready to commit to at least 12-15 hours of Direct Care per week, ensuring a consistent presence for the clients. Experience working with children with special needs is preferred but not required, so a willingness to learn and adapt is vital. Reliability and a strong work ethic are key traits that will help you succeed in this role.
