ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cook prepares food in accordance with menus, diet specifications, resident preference, and sanitary practices under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Services Manager or Dining Services Manager.
As a Cook / Dietary Assistant, you help us serve our patients delicious and nutritious food. This includes having to do various work from actual cooking to dishwashing. Training usually starts with dishwashing, and then you move on and work on your kitchen skills. You help the dietary director plan healthy meals as well as cook them. You also ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and the quality of the food you cook, making sure you've followed recipes and health regulations. As needed, you assist some residents with feeding. You feel good about helping our kitchen serve food that nourishes our patients!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Willing to cross-train in dishwashing, cooking, and feeding if needed.
- Food Handlers Certification
