A/V Project Manager - The Copper River Family of Companies

Copper River Enterprise Services is seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Project Manager to support Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Conference Room buildouts. The AV PM will manage personnel performing daily operational activities ensuring seamless team development and management, program delivery, and quality control. He/she will be responsible for initiating, executing, and closing projects, and manage all program stakeholders through direct interactions, reporting, and documentation.
Extensive Audio-Visual (A/V) industry background is essential and the ability to effectively interface with clients, vendors and personnel daily. This position is very detail oriented, therefore, the candidate must have a strong aptitude for multi-tasking and be able to manage multiple project schedules and subcontractors at any given time. The candidate may be required to participate in the development of new solutions based on new requirements.
The location is hybrid in the DMV area based on the current requirements.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Manage Project Team Leads to achieve project objectives.
- Manage Subcontractors to ensure scope is met according to contract.
- Develop new design standards to meet customers objectives for training rooms, Auditoriums andconference rooms.
- Report to client sites as needed based on project schedules and objectives to ensure projects are being completed on time and properly by the team and subcontractors.
- Manage project budgets to ensure projects achieve projected revenue, cost, and profit targets.
- Employ project management best practices and methodologies providing project and client leadership on behalf of the company.
- Develop and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure services are performed in accordance with the performance work statement.
- Ensure project deliverables, weekly progress reports, and monthly performance reports reflect the work performed and results as it relates to the company objectives and contracted deliverables.
- Coordinate and participate in monthly project status meetings either in-person or via conference call with client stakeholders.
- Assist with preparing proposal content, writing, and coordinating proposal efforts throughout the solicitation life cycle.
- Be responsible for the establishment and management of a project methodology incorporating structures, standards, processes, documentation and reporting which fits the needs of the projects and puts emphasis on risk management and timely project delivery.
- Participate in special projects as required by contributing and managing internal organization initiatives.
- Participate in project close outs and functional testing of deployed systems.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years' experience within the Audio-Visual industry
- Required Certifications:
- InfoComm/AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
- Preferred Certifications:
- Crestron 101
- Crestron DM Certified Technician – 4K (DMC-T-4K)
- Crestron DM Certified Engineer – 4K (DMC-E-4K)
- Crestron Digital Media Designer – 4K (DMC-D-4K)
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Extensive experience with Crestron product line and familiarity with Crestron programming, deployment of Crestron based switching and distribution systems and Crestron Fusion based systems for room scheduling
- Experience with Logitech product line and room systems
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience within the Audiovisual industry, specifically deployment of Audio/Video systems within the Federal space
- Experienced in Audio/Video system design and integration
- General knowledge and experience with structured cabling, cable terminations, system wiring and Video Teleconferencing wiring
- Experience in providing customer service, effectively interacting and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
- Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
- Must demonstrate an understanding of multi-classification networks, Video Teleconferencing networks and advanced network solution deployment
- Must be able to understand multi-level customer/user expectations and concerns
- Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
- Deep understanding in the fundamentals of Audiovisual system design, deployment, testing, maintenance, and system functionality
- Experience with task-based contracts and task-based requirements under a large contract
- Experience and/or professional training for Audiovisual manufacturers such as, but not limited to:
- Crestron, AMX, Extron, Logitech, Biamp, ClearOne, Barco, Planar, SMART Technologies, Cisco, Polycom, Shure, etc.
- Experience with large venue deployments for command-and-control environments, auditoriums and divisible spaces
- Experience with broadcasting equipment, live audio and supporting large scale townhall events would be valuable
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Video for delivery of project schedule and system drawings
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
- Minor installations, repairs and site surveys
