Position Overview:
The A/R Specialist will play an integral role in the Accounts Receivable team in the ICAST accounting department. Responsibilities will include billing, collections, electronic filing, audit support, reporting, and other ad hoc assignments. Ideal candidates should be comfortable reaching out to customers to discuss aging accounts, should possess a strong understanding of accounting billing practices, and should have a background that includes complex billing structures and grant billing requirements. Candidates with construction billing and government grant billing experience are encouraged to apply. This position is fully remote and will require you to perform your role in an independent environment.
Requirements
Must Have Qualifications:
- 3+ Years background in deadline driven Accounts Receivable
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience with Debt Collection
- 1+ years working with Sage Intacct software
- 3+ years experience with accounting billing functions related to government grants
- 3+ years experience with standard accounting billing functions related to construction
- Demonstrable experience providing excellent customer service
- Advanced analytical and organizational capacity
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal
- Industry standard competency with Excel/Outlook
Location: Remote in the U.S.A.

Education: BS Preferred
Areas of Expertise: Accounts Receivable, GAAP, Construction Billing, Grants Billing, SAGE Intacct Accounts Receivable module, Collections, organization
Compensation: $65k/yr
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing A/R billing functions related to Grants, Rebates, and Construction Services
- Communicating with Customers via phone & email for collections of past due balances
- Processing Payment Applications
- Assists in Electronic Filing of Documentation
- Assists in Answering A/R Related Questions
- Preparing and organizing documentation needs for audits, internal reporting and other needs as defined
- Other duties as assigned by CFO and/or Controller
Initial Goals:
- Determine Program billing requirements
- Develop relationships with the PMO and Construction Teams
- Ensure billing is completed in a timely manner (by the first week of subsequent month)
- Ensure billing is fully supported with source documents and organized to facilitate an easy comparison of billed amounts and supporting documents
