A/R Billing Clerk - Sparrow Company

Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, is looking for an A/R Billing Clerk for a temporary to hire opportunity in Torrance, CA. No experience is required!

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Accounts Receivable Manager. Responsible for the preparation of billing, transmitting EDI data and processing of Debits and Credits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Handle various billing tasks daily.
• Process Internal and External Requests for documents
• Review numerous – analyze and revise.
• Log and scan completed daily shipping documents into electronic filing system.
• Matching of invoices to shipping documents.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required by the Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

• Ability to sort and file numerically.
• Detail oriented.
• Input information with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to use computer terminal, ten key by touch, facsimile, and copier.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Handle Multiple Tasks.
• Work Independently.
• Team Player.
• Bilingual
• Excel experience

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Excel and Word.
• Basic arithmetic – add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Accounting principles.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous college experience in Accounting preferred.
• Accounting software and Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
