Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash receipts, customer account reconciliations, and resolving any related discrepancies.
2. Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
3. Maintain and update client records in QuickBooks, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
4. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial procedures and improve operational efficiency.
5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting any significant issues or trends.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures in line with the organization's goals and objectives.
7. Liaise with external auditors during audits, providing all necessary information and documentation.
8. Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights from the accounts receivable perspective.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
3. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
4. In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and best practices.
5. Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger functions.
6. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
10. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical accounting standards.
