Responsibilities:As an Accounts Payable Specialist III , you will be responsible for processing full cycle Accounts Payables. Will serve as the lead, able to supervise the work of other AP specialists and/or subcontract personnel as applicable, as well as troubleshoot vendor and employee's issues or concerns. Perform weekly check runs and reports, and reconciliations as needed. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Empower AI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
- Monitors e-mail inbox for new invoices and submits to workflow system on a timely basis
- Ensures invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Compares invoice terms, prices and quantities in accordance with purchase orders as applicable
- Processes transactions and performs accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Manages monthly cutoff and closing of accounts payable and posting of month-end information
- Interacts with vendors and performs research as required to answer vendor questions
- Acts as a liaison between the company, government and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes as it relates to the Accounts Payable function

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent related experience
- 4 - 9 years of experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Accounts Payable Experience with a Government Contractor: 2 – 5 Years
- Unanet: 2 – 5 Years
- Knowledge of Government Travel Regulations
Physical Requirements:
